Troubleshooting

Elvean Won’t Launch

  1. Make sure you’re running macOS 14 or later
  2. Check that the app is in your Applications folder
  3. Try right-clicking the app and selecting “Open” if you see a security warning

Global Hotkey Not Working

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility
  2. Make sure Elvean is listed and enabled
  3. If it’s listed but not working, remove it and re-add it

Slow Model Performance

  • Ensure no other resource-heavy apps are running
  • Check Activity Monitor for available memory
  • Try switching to a smaller model in Settings → Models

Models Not Downloading

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure you have enough free disk space (models range from 2–8 GB)
  • Try restarting the app and re-initiating the download
